Keep Your Vac Filter Clean
Regular cleaning of your vacuum filter helps maintain efficiency and performance. This can also help increase the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner. Additionally, some vacuum cleaners use the airflow to help cool the motor and prevent it from overheating.
All vacuum cleaner filters are slightly different. However, the process of cleaning them is generally the same.
- Remove the filter from the vacuum
- Gently shake the filter and lightly tap it on the edge of a bin
- If you have access to an air compressor blow the filter clean from the inside out
- In most cases, the use of water is not advised
For best practice, refer to the manual for your specific vacuum cleaner.
